Profile
Prima Romadhona is a Postgraduate Researcher at the Institute for Transport Studies, University of Leeds. Her doctoral research is funded by the Indonesian Education Scholarship, awarded by the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) and the Center for Education Funding Services.
She holds an MSc in Transport System and Engineering, completed through a sandwich program between the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada and the Department of Technology and Society, Lund University in Sweden. Her Master’s studies were funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Indonesia. Her thesis, “The evaluation of public transport safety facilities in developing countries: A case study in Yogyakarta, Indonesia”, was published in the Journal of Urban Transport.
Before pursuing her Ph.D., Prima developed a strong foundation in both research and policy. She began her career as a researcher at the Centre for Transportation and Logistics Studies, Universitas Gadjah Mada. She then served as a government staff member at the Research and Development division of the Ministry of Transportation, Indonesia, contributing to national transport policy and innovation. Since 2013, she has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning, Universitas Islam Indonesia, where she continues to maintain academic ties.
